Testing the water flow speed and control, the Fellow Stagg EKG is easier to control and pours water more slowly than the Maestri House. In this regard, the Fellow Stagg EKG is better as a pour-over kettle than an all-purpose one.
Testing both kettles with water at 25 °C, they reach the target temperature in less than 4 minutes, with the Maestri House heating consistently faster, with a dozen seconds difference on average.
The Maestri House gooseneck kettle has an optional beep signal when it reaches the target temperature. On the other hand, the Fellow EKG kettle doesn’t offer this feature.
